This will be a celebration of handicrafts from the Hokuriku region,
spanning 3 prefectures: Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui.
“Crafts as Modern Art” and “Crafts as Designs” with the theme of “Era of Crafts – New Daily Life” will be shown at two simultaneously held special exhibitions in Takaoka, Kanazawa, Komatsu and Echizen, while onsite and online programs showcasing production areas of crafts in Hokuriku will be provided.
Works by 20 artists from the young to the experienced who are active in modern art, handicrafts, or Outside Art will be on exhibit inside historical buildings designated Important Cultural Properties.
Chikuunsai IV’s installation will be on display in the Shoko-ji Temple – Important Cultural Property
